After that the C20LET High Flow Intake fulfilled our expectations, on this base we developed  a new Tuningsystem for the Z20LEx engine, which can be combined with each turbochargers available in the market to an optimal total conception.

The rating of the OPEL of turbo engine Z20LET is reflected in an enormous torque plateau with low numbers of revolutions and a torque dropping strongly after higher numbers of revolutions noticeably, this behavior by construction dependent high flow resistances of the series suction tube is caused, which OPEL had taken over to development times of the Z20LET from cost reasons simply in principle from the X20XEV suction engine.

With higher performance turbochargers and on it optimized load air cooling one can help the engine in the lower and middle speed range to 5500RPM to a clear increase in output, the series suction tube conditioned effect, which breaks down the achievement starting from 6000RPM again, can one thereby also prevent!

Contrary to various products in the market our new development does not only obtain a clear increased output in the upper speed range. Over the COMPLETE speed range, which is used in normal driving each day, an extreme increased output is to be obtained, without the turbochargers to overloads.

With our tests fast turned out, which the standard intake presents itself as strömungsungüstiges construction unit in the Ansaugtrackt. Therefore the intake was again current developed by us and offered in combination with our High flow syphon for the optimal system performance of the Z20LEx engines.

Our High flow syphon makes once-oem-ends to air mass an unhindered and absolutely even distribution on the individual cylinders, here for special value possible on it was put, which gets lost homogeneous the flow rate in the suction tube and forms by the trichterförmigen channel process of the syphon close of the intake valve at the cylinder head its MAXIMUM, so that in the short time a MAXIMUM air mass can arrive to the intake valve opening into the engine, naturally also while maintaining the series cam shafts.

Further with our Design the direction of flow is turned back NOT unnecessarily after the butterfly valve and led back and forth, which shows up in a CLEAR increase of the engine performance in ALL speed ranges and represents even with the series turbocharger of the Z20LET of engine a clear increase in output!

Air mass those of the turbochargers sucks in and into the air intake system presses from the air mass measurer to 100% is measured and after this signal also the injection signal formed, as long as sucked in air mass lies in the measuring range of the air mass measurer, and the injection amount of the injectors is still sufficient, can run the engine NEVER too lean, but several ensure in ECU of deposited characteristic diagrams!

Up to the top head the air mass stream is homogeneous and flows with approximately constant speed in the load air tubes, after the butterfly valve begins annoyance also high-dynamic procedures for the distribution of the air mass stream on 4 successively in each case working cylinders!

The opening angle of an intake valve is constant over all numbers of revs, however thereby the opening time becomes extremely short at high numbers of revolutions, in relation the opening time with slow engine speeds, thus the effective cylinder filling sinks to high numbers of revolutions, because the series syphon represents a dynamic Flußwiderstand! Air mass, into that much are enough and with constant cross sections for unfavorably laid out series suction tube channels to the inlet channels in the cylinder head , comes when closing the intake valve into a total stop and by the channel end is reflected and runs back then the complete distance is led again, these direction change losses provides for which decreases the cylinder filling coupled with the series suction tube to high numbers of revs with a power loss!

The EDS Design goes here completely different way, which are channels from the butterfly valve collecting body to the inlet channel in the cylinder head are trompetenförmig laid out, thus with same pressure in the suction tube air mass in the suction tube channel by the trichterförmige interpretation permanently accelerated and then at the opened intake valve its maximum receive, thus is ensured a maximum cylinder filling also at high numbers of revolutions, what amazingly positively affects engine performance!

But with also the EDS Design is closed once the intake valve and blocked also here sometime into the cylinder head air mass flowing in and back-reflected into a rückwertige wave. By the trichterförmige channel Design however this pressure wave impact at the channel end gets lost, without negatively affecting the other sucking in procedures in any way!

With our High Flow Intake kits are reached with a test vehicle with Z20LET engine (Z20LEH air mass measurer, Z20LEH of Einspritzventile, Z20LEH turbocharger) the following characteristics:

  • Clear increase in output up to 50PS in the speed range above 6000RPM
  • brutal responsing mode of the turbocharger in all speed ranges starting from 2500RPM
  • extremely better performance in the lower speed range with clear torque increase up to 100Nm
  • Assembly without special know-how relating to crafts of everyone possible!
  • Plug and Play system of inclusive all necessary assembly parts and seals!
  • Simplest assembly of the Z20LEx-Seriendrosselklappe in the standard installation position!
  • Guarantee of VERY simple service work on starters, generator and knocking sensor.
  • Assembly in ALL motor vehicle types possible, also problem-free in rear propulsion vehicles.

During our EDS-Phase-3 increase in output 470ccm injectiors must be used! Phase-4 and other increases in output require an individual mapping with us locally, agree upon you in addition a date with us!

Ich bin vom EDS Intake Saugrohr und Plenum mehr als begeistert. Es hat meine Erwartungen mehr als Übertroffen. Desto mehr Drehzahl, desto mehr geht der Kopf in Richtung Kopfstütze !!! Leistung von 2500-7500 U/min. am laufenden Band. Man denkt nicht einen Turbo zu fahren, sondern einen Großvolumigen V8 Sauger :) Bei der Probefahrt hatte ich ein kleines tränchen im Auge !! Danke EDS
